Hotel Cherno More, Varna

An interesting case where the needs of multiple tenants had to be considered and managed effectively to allow for a staff-free parking.

Hotel and Casino “Black Sea” is situated in the heart of Varna- the sea capital of Bulgaria, just a stone’s throw away from the beach. The premises boast a vibrant casino, a diverse range of restaurants, a cocktail bar offering panoramic views, as well as boutique shops and a bank for convenience. Within a leisurely 10-minute stroll from the hotel, guests can explore the city’s rich historical and cultural landmarks, including the Opera House, the Art Gallery, and the Archaeological Museum. This customer needed a parking management system that catered to the needs of each tenant while still attracting external visitors and driving extra revenue.

Challenge

The goal of the project is to develop a comprehensive parking management system that achieves three primary objectives:

  1. Enhancing the overall parking experience for guests, ensuring it serves as a positive introduction to their hotel experience.
  2. Maximizing profitability for stakeholders while minimizing expenses through efficient remote management.
  3. Implementing a flexible taxation system that accommodates various types of visitors, including outside vehicles, hotel guests, casino patrons, and employees, with tailored fee structures.

Solution

To address the first objective, we integrated our parking management system with the hotel software “Clock.” This integration streamlined the process for hotel staff to validate parking for their guests, ensuring a seamless experience from their perspective.

For the second goal, our system’s exceptional capabilities empowered each tenant to autonomously manage their guests and parking spaces. This autonomy enabled them to enforce parking taxation independently, eliminating the need for dedicated oversight personnel.

Lastly, SmartPark’s highly adaptable system facilitated the establishment of various permits and validation procedures tailored to the unique needs of each tenant. This flexibility ensured that individual requirements could be met effectively within the parking management framework.

Result

Thanks to License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology, parking users can have a pleasant and seamless experience. They can validate their tariff based on the location they are visiting.

On the other hand, the parking management team also gains valuable statistics about the traffic entering their facility. For instance, they can discern whether the majority of parking guests are outside visitors, hotel guests, or casino patrons. Armed with this information, each team can efficiently manage their parking spots.
