This advantageous location draws a significant influx of patrons, comprising both professionals from adjacent businesses and residents from nearby neighborhoods and villages. Boasting a diverse array of offerings including clothing, cosmetics, sports gear, toys, and beyond, VIA North serves as a comprehensive one-stop destination.

Challenge

Via North retail center boasts a generous parking facility, boasting 5 entrances and 3 exits, accommodating a total of 330 parking spaces for visitors. Given the significant influx of vehicles accessing and departing the premises, meticulous configuration was imperative to facilitate seamless circulation and mitigate congestion effectively. A comprehensive approach was essential in devising the parking management system and infrastructure. To ensure this, SmartPark’s team collaborated closely with various stakeholders, including local traffic authorities and retail center shareholders. Finally, aligning with investor goals, there was a concerted effort to maximize parking revenue while eliminating staffing costs.

Solution

To improve Via North’s parking operations and customer experience, we focused on key objectives. Firstly, due to high traffic volume on the main boulevard, programmed delays in barrier closure optimized traffic flow within the parking facility.

Next, we installed barrier payment terminals to prevent congestion by enabling quick payments and smooth exit routes, even when customers would forget to pay for their stay.

Additionally, we enhanced profitability by implementing remote management systems and help points. These systems allowed the retail park management to monitor statistics such as the number of visitors and their length of stay. This insight enabled better decision-making and optimization of parking resources. Customers also benefited from help points, which provided personalized assistance and eliminated the need for on-site staff.

Result

By implementing the aforementioned system and mechanisms, SmartPark allowed Via North’s parking facility to achieve several significant results. These include preventing congestion, enhancing profitability through efficient resource utilization, providing personalized assistance to customers, and enabling the parking to operate without the need for on-site staff.
